H2- American Colonies Corrected Paragraph

 

The Pilgrims had a very difficult time getting to America.They left England in September. The trip across took 65 days. During that time, they ate cold food. They got sick. One person died. Ohers had terrible disagreements. They were supposed to settle in Virginia. However, bad weather drove them north. They landed in Plymouth in November. The winter was cold with much snow. They had trouble building their settlement. It was too late to plant anything. They didn’t know which of the local plants were good. Of the original 110 persons who landed in Plymouth, only 50 survived their first winter.
