GEAR UP FOR LIFE |
|
Decide on something that you want to write a poem about. It can be a mountain, an animal, a plant. It can be anything that has a recognizable shape. Write a few descriptions about it that fit its shape. Think of the tree poem you read, and write something similar, using the shape of the object. Below is an example of a kitten outline.
NOTE: Poetry often uses incomplete sentences – it’s OK here. However, don’t do this in any other type of writing where complete sentences are necessary for meaning. |
