A graph shows information visually.  On a line graph, the vertical line (up and down) will show the child’s age.  The horizontal line (side to side) will show the periods (months, years, days) of a child’s development.

PROJECT: You will create a chart for a child between birth and 5 years old, for any time period you wish .  You may also pick the type of development you want to track.

The example below shows a line graph for a child’s first year of life.  The milestones or progress points along the bottom line show a child’s progress from simple awareness of his world to becoming involved in it.

You could graph a child’s language development, a child’s walking development, or a child’s development of the concept of right and wrong.

Sign and date your drawing with labels, and place it in your folder for your instructor.
